Kanye West Preforms New Material, Rants About PaparazziI At Adult Swim Upfront Party.
Worse yet, they got footage of him flipping out on them after the whole incident that
made him look about as pissed as we'd be if we mistakenly bumped into a sign
trying to avoid someone trying to make a quick buck off us.
Last night, when Kanye took the stage at the Roseland
Ballroom in NYC to perform for the Adult Swim Upfront, he took time to
address the paps during his hour long set.
In the clip below—where you can barely see anything but can
hear pretty well—Kanye had this to say:
"One thing about me. I'm the worst kinda, worst kinda,
worst kinda celebrity...because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in
the studio and make real, real shit. and that's it. That's motherfucking it.
That's motherfucking it. So I don't want nobody trying to run up on me
with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and shit to magazines, asking me
no dumbass questions. throwing me off of my focus and shit. Harassing you all
motherfucking day. I ain't no motherfucking celebrity..."
After a brief pause, he went on to say this in yet another
clip:
"[I had a friend ask me, 'Are you gonna go on] SNL and
you're going to do like a skit about the paparazzi and shit and like humanize
yourself?' I ain't here to apologize to no motherfuckers man. It ain't about me
humanizing myself. At what point did I become unhuman where I had to turn
myself back? Or maybe i was demonized. Or maybe I was treated inhumane and not
human in that kind of situation.
"I ain't no motherfucking celebrity. I ain't
running for office. I ain't kissing nobody's motherfucking babies. I drop your
baby and you sue me and shit. I'm trying to make some music that inspires
people to be the best they can be. I don't want nobody to ask NOTHING ELSE OF
ME. Don't ask nothing else of me. Motherfuckers chasing you down 'bout to make
you crash and shit. And all they want is one nigga to laugh and shit. Hell nah
I ain't doing no motherfucking SNL skits, this my goddamn
life. This ain't no motherfucking joke. That's it. Stop that shit right
there."

New Music: D'Banj ft Kanye West - Scapegoat + Why You Love Me.
It was D’banj weekend over in Naija pop land where not
one but three tracks with differing levels of Koko Master involvement were
dropped. The most high-profile of those, “Scapegoat (Remix),” features an
appearance from D’banj’s G.O.O.D. Music label boss Kanye West — which finds Yeezy rapping two verses
about getaways with a significant other and causing hysteria soon as [he] hop
off the plane in Nigeria. The other single “Why U Love Me” is an electronic
Naija pop concoction from D’banj’s collaborative D’Kings Men album.
You can also grab another DKM,”Ibadi E (Let It Bounce)” featuring Olamide,
Durella, K-Switch, which was made its way online this week over at NotJustOK. Stream and download “Scapegoat (Remix)” and “Why
U Love Me” below.

Behind The Scenes Of Dj Khaled "No New Friends" Single. (Pics)
DJ Khaled made another movie with his friends on Wednesday.
The Cash Money DJ held court on set of his flashy video for“No
New Friends,” the first single off his upcoming albumSuffering From
Success.
The YMCMB crew took over a mansion in Miami with
some video vixens and briefcases full of cash, making it rain for the
cameras. Twelve-time BET Awards nominee Drake rocked a throwback Dada outfit,
while Rozay and Khaled popped Belaire Rosé champagne. Ace Hood and Birdman
stopped by to make cameos in the Colin Tilley-directed clip.Album Covers: Wale - The gifted.
As he gets closer to the release of his third album The
Gifted on June 25, Wale unveils the artwork. The Maybach Music rapper
illustrates the different aspects that make up his life including his hometown
of D.C., money, women, and faith. A stone bust of his face appears on the
cover, designed by tattoo artist Mister Cartoon.
The album’s first single “Bad” featuring Tiara
Thomas is currently No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the follow-up“LoveHate Thing” will
premiere on Monday.
He has also recorded a mysterious collaboration with
Rihanna.
What do you think of the artwork?
The Bonang Matheba story
''False statement made with the intention of deceiving'' is
what my dictionary tell me. A Lie. I think I speak for everyone when I
say Hearing lies about yourself is very sad.
Now, I know it's called ''media'' but then ''Media'' people turn to forget that celebs are people and they have feelings too. I know by now you might be asking yourself what I'm on about, well, as I was surfing the internet I came across Bonang's really sad story, on her website it reads... ''In July 2012, I woke up to Drum cover that TORE my soul to shreds. It shattered my spirit, destroyed my dignity and for the very first time in my life, brought me to my knees''
Well, I'd also be in her shoes if I was also accused of being in a 'Sex orgy', taking part in a massive drug party and aborting an innocent child. Well to think that's enough defamatory, she says they went on to quoting from an interview that never took place.
So the whole thing was just lie, just another Made-up story to sell their magazine, not thinking about the damage they've caused, hearts they've broken, the pain they've caused and loads more. I don't know how one would sleep after writing such lies about someone, this is really inhuman, hope the writer will be someday be served the Karma plate.
Bonang goes on to say she filed a complaint and the matter was handled, Drum was dealt with and they supposedly had to apologize on it's front page and inside the magazine (which Matheba claims it never happened).
Well, hope she found it in her heart to forgive them for what they did. No man deserves what happened to her, it's because of such Magazines that media related brands and specialists are detested by many, it's because of such people that some celebs are NO where to be found now and it's because of such people that some well known people choose not to e interviewed.
Well, I can only say much, Here is Ms Matheba's story

Well, I can only say much, Here is Ms Matheba's story
Sometimes the ‘I’m sorry’ never comes…..
In July 2012, I woke up to a Drum cover that TORE my soul to
shreds. It shattered my spirit, destroyed my dignity and for the very first
time in my life, brought me to my knees. I thought about it today because a
friend of mine asked me WHY it’s so difficult for some people to say ‘I’m
sorry”. Written by a FEMALE Editor, I was accused of being in a ‘sex orgy’,
taking part in a massive drug party and of aborting a child. A picture of me
was placed on a cover, and I was quoted from an interview that never happened.
I remember reading this article over the internet and collpasing to the ground.
I. WAS. NUMB!
Many untrue things have been said about me in the media but
for the very FIRST time, I felt like I needed to do something about it because
this publication had gone too far. I contacted the office of the Press
Ombudsman (who, by the way, are incredibly helpful), filed a complaint and
FINALLY received a date for a hearing. The day did arrive- the hearing lasted a
little over 4 hours and below is what the Ombudsman concluded from that
hearing:
The ombudsman dismissed the complaint that Drum had
published sensational material about Matheba as this was not in breach of the
Press Code.
It had also breached the code for reporting the
unsupported allegations of just one source that Matheba was a drug addict,
featured in a sex tape and was a cheat, and for not pointing out that the
allegations had not been verified.
The words “apparently” and “allegations” were not strong
enough to warrant their publication, and this had caused Matheba unnecessary
harm, the ombudsman found.
The magazine was directed to apologise on its front page
and inside the magazine for publishing the medical records, for publishing
unfounded allegations and not reporting that it was doing so, and for making up
quotes or ascribing words to Matheba in the cover-lines.
It was also instructed to apologise for accepting and
publishing allegations from an anonymous source without exercising reasonable
care in questioning the source’s motives.
Months have passed, the pain has vanished and the
apology…..well, it never came. Just made me think that sometimes- you HAVE to
fight for what’s right even if the other party doesn’t ‘come to the party’
then, MOVE ON!!! Remove the anger and the pain. Let go of the worry and
pray for the strength to forgive and in this case, forget. I said to this
friend of mine that most of the time, the ‘I’m sorry’ never comes. And most of
the time waiting for it will only deter you from concentrating on the OTHER
amazing things that are happening in your life, in your space.
In my case however, my soul and spirit were at peace knowing
that I tried to stand up for myself and the many that will come after me.So
many more wonderful things have happened since then, it would be an injustice
to myself to focus on the negative or to expect another to acknowledge their
wrong.I’ll never know the reasons why it happened but a small part of me is
glad it did. I had hit rock bottom, I guess the only way now is UP!
So to you, MY FRIEND – Do what’s right, then move on… God
will take care of the rest. Never try to get ‘even’ with anyone. It WILL hurt,
we’re human, and that’s fine. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest
soldiers.. It doesnt have to make sense to you now, but one day it will.
Smile, everything is going to be okay.
Have a great weekend… love, B*

A Rise To Fame History About Rapper Kiernan Forbes - ( Stage name AKA )
No more beef. Now rap is also known as wit, acumen and a
touch of arrogance
When rappers dropped “beef” as a business currency, the
battle moved on to wits, business acumen, fashion sense and well thought-out
marketing strategies.
Think back to the 1990s and early 2000s to the great hip-hop
feuds of Tupac vs Notorious B.I.G.; Nas vs Jay-Z; Ice Cube vs Common; and Dr
Dre vs Eazy E.
On these shores, the industry gasped at the latest snide
remarks and poison thrown at the enemy in the cases of Brenda Fassie vs
Senyaka; Mdu Masilela vs TKZee; B.O.P. vs Arthur Mafokate; Skwatta Kamp vs Jay
Stash; Proverb vs Prokid; and then L-Tido vs AKA.
There was always tension and “beef” found a place in our
lexicon as more than just a form of red meat, but, as Wikipedia puts it:
“Controversy in which multiple rappers defame and confront each other in a
number of ways.”
The times have moved on and these days the tough gangsta
rappers have left the spoils for those softies of R&B such as Chris Brown
vs Frank Ocean, most recently. There’s even
girl-on-girl action thrown in for good measure: Lil Kim vs
Nicki Minaj; Nicki Minaj vs Mariah Carey; Etta James vs Beyoncé; and Beyoncé vs
Aretha Franklin.
Enter the modern-day rap star. He is smooth, suave and well
groomed. Tailored suits, designer shades in place, he could have been plucked
from a catwalk in Milan. Rap has really cleaned up.
Also cleaned up is AKA, born Kiernan Forbes, South Africa’s
reigning prince of rap. He came onto the scene after beefing with L-Tido over a
song and he went on Facebook to diss it, but now he speaks a different
language. In fact, he is the model citizen for modern rap.
Under the trees of Moyo at Zoo Lake, Joburg’s premium eating
spot for tourists in a faux African village setting, the 25-year-old prince
awaits.
And I am careful here because these kinds of titles often
land one in a pool of controversy. But when you consider that AKA is the
reigning winner of Best Male Artist at the SA Music Awards (Sama), he swept the
boards at the Hip-Hop Awards, raking in four trophies, he is currently
dominating the charts with his hit single Jealousy and is fresh from opening
Kanye West’s concert in Joburg last weekend, I’m willing to take my chances.
He could pass for a basketball player, if only he weighed a
bit more. He is tall and wears a crown of healthy black hair. As always, his
eyes remain a mystery behind the Ray Bans.
The husky voice and low energy levels point to traces of a
rough night or someone in need of a break. But he gets on with the interview.
His story is peculiar. His album has been out now for less
than 18 months, yet he is already touted as a prince of hip-hop.
“It’s been great – many successes since the album came out.
The awards have been very very nice. I’ve always wanted to win a Sama and I
ended up performing with Jack Parow on the Sama stage.
“Altar Ego was a landmark album for hip-hop. If you look at
the Samas, it pulled hip-hop into the mainstream. I won the best hip-hop album
and best male artist and I was nominated against people like Jimmy Dludlu and
other highly esteemed artists. With a lot of hard work, we managed to walk away
with it.
“I want to carry on the momentum from 2011 to 2012 and now
into 2013. It seems there’s no stopping us,” he reflects.
“I’m growing as an artist and a producer, which I didn’t
have time for in the past. The video of Jealousy is one of the best. It raises
the bar for videos in the country and I’m proud of that.”
Does he feel people are jealous of his meteoric rise to the
top in such a short space of time?
“Yes, some people are.” Then he quickly shifts the focus to
the song. “Well, firstly, the song is fresh. The idea of making a song about
jealousy didn’t come from me. It stemmed from what the sample sounded like.
“If you listen to the lyrics, it doesn’t talk too much about
jealousy, people and haters, because I really don’t like that rhetoric. It’s a
great song, it’s energetic. I have a great time when I perform it and people
seem to love the song.”
AKA knows, along with the industry, that in hip-hop your
reputation and street cred is all you have. And beef – especially fabricated
and orchestrated – will get you nowhere. Fans can see through the charade, so
he keeps his eyes on the prize, which is making good music.
And the song is indeed a great precursor to what should be
another good album. But he is pacing himself. “I’m gonna take my time and get
it right, like
I did the first time. My next album has to be more dynamic
in terms of the music in it.
“I also want to see myself have a bigger impact on the
continent, and possibly have more overseas performances.”
And how he spends his time in the studio points to a
consummate professional driven by passion for what he does.
“Putting together an album is a lot of stress. It’s very
draining. You put your life into an album. It becomes your baby – everything
you eat, sleep, breathe. Coming off the back of a successful album like Altar
Ego, there’s a little more pressure I put on myself. My aim is to take risks
and make great songs and great albums.”
AKA has also caught the eyes of casting agents. While his
music show on the embattled TopTV fizzled out just weeks after it started, he
is to feature as a reality star. This weekend he will debut on Tropika Island
of Treasure, a local celebrity reality show loosely based on the popular
Survivor format. This year it was shot in Jamaica.
“It was quite a lot of fun. I just went to have fun. A
million rand (the show’s prize money) is not a huge fortune really.
“I’m not big on reality shows but I had good times with a
great group of people,” he says.
And what attracted the TV producers to him? “I like to have
fun. I like to laugh. I like to make jokes. I like to make other people laugh
and I get along with everybody.
“I also stand up for what I believe in. I guess those
personality traits work for me.”
On his character, AKA reveals he is more than just a
rhyme-spitting smartass rapper, but is always up for a good challenge.
“I thrive under pressure for another single, people wanting
to see what I’m gonna come up with next. It’s an opportunity to challenge
myself and to grow as a person,” he says. “It may get a bit tiring and the
schedule may be too much, but it could be worse. I could be at a desk doing a
nine-to-five.”
For someone whose business thrives on attention and who
trades on his talents in the public space, it’s surprising AKA doesn’t
subscribe to the idea of celebrity. Instead he gets philosophical. “I don’t
have a brand of celebrity. I don’t believe in celebrities. The easiest thing
for me to do is to be myself.”
While beef may be irrelevant to today’s rappers, ego,
arrogance and self-importance have proved to be essential ingredients. AKA is
known to have a reputation for being highly strung. Feigning modesty, he says
he is not arrogant. In fact, he displays some displeasure at the notion.
“I don’t pay any mind to anybody who says I’m stuck up.
I don’t even talk about it. It doesn’t excite my thinking
and doesn’t factor into who I am,” he says. “My attitude has always been it
doesn’t really matter what people say. It doesn’t affect the truth. The truth
is what I’m living in, that’s that. The only person I have to please when it
comes to stuff like that is myself.”
Our conversation takes a serious turn as we talk about
lessons from the music industry.
“I’ve learnt to choose my words better, to ignore
negativity, to speak up when you really believe in something in terms of
creating music or videos or content – because at the end of the day you’re the
one who has to perform and represent what people see and you need to follow
through with your vision,” he says. “I’ve also learnt to be a private person
and keep a small circle of friends.”
